DIY Easter eggs! We have a fun, easy craft for you. The kids will love to make them and they’ll make the cutest little decorations for your coffee table too! Go get your paint brushes!
This DIY has been designed just for us by our collaborator Camille
What you need to make these cute DIY Easter eggs:
– Aquarelle paint (or water paints)
– A small paintbrush
– Eggs
– A bunch of baby cacti (you can find some at most gardening centers)
– Small terracotta pots (or you can use egg cups)
– Soil
– A knife
Step 1:
– Use a sharp knife to crack open your eggshells at the top. Make a good hole and then use your hands to open up the egg. About 1/4 of the eggshell should be removed so you’ll be able to plant your little cactus inside.
– Remove all the egg inside the shells and only keep the shells. You can make an omelette later. (We hate to waste food!)
– Wash your eggshells.
Step 2:
– Use your aquarelle paint and get creative with mixing colors. It doesn’t need to be perfect, have fun with it. Let the kids play around with their color mixing explorations. It feels so good to play with your hands, doesn’t it?
– Once you’re done with your painting, you can put your eggs upside down to let them dry.
Step3:
-Add some soil inside your shells and then plant your baby cacti in them. Tadam! You just made the cutest Easter desert eggs 🙂
-You can put them in little terracotta pots like we did. Bonus – you can also paint the terracotta pots if you feel like it. If you can’t find such small terracotta pots, just use egg cups, it will look just as cute!

Happy Easter guys, have fun with your family and friends. XO
As we can’t wait for Spring anymore, (Montreal is still covered with snow as you read this!) we’ve decided to bring Spring inside! We paired with our favorite florist to shoot our latest Moroccan rug collection. Laurie Anne Atelier Fleur’s workshop is such a wonderful space.
The beauty we created inside her atelier just made us feel so good. Can you smell the fresh blooms mixed with eucalyptus? Loads of green plants, freshly cut flowers and drying flower suspensions make for such eye candy, the perfect setting for a dose of Spring inspiration and for forgetting about our winter blues!
This little reading nook we styled at Laurie Anne’s atelier is so romantic! We added this beni ourain moroccan rug (On sale!) to bring some coziness, a gold vegan pouf and a gold cactus sculpture (because adding a touch of gold is always a good idea). This timeless black heart poster also looks good anywhere. This is the pink Medinilla plant that made it in our top 5 trends for Spring.
I know I’ve said it before but our new belly baskets make the prettiest cachepots.
This is a florist’s workspace dream! I could look at this one forever. This Boucherouite rug seems to be the perfect match for her botanic desk, don’t you think?
It made me realize how much fun it must be to be a florist in everyday life? I know it felt like I was living in a wonderland that day. It just feels so good to be surrounded by so much beauty.
Laurie Anne always has such gorgeous flowers hanging from her ceiling. She makes her hanging racks herself with willow branches to dry her flowers upside down. This kind of suspension would look so good in a cottage decor. And guys! It smells amazing.
Here’s Camille enjoying the little living room we styled together. So much goodness in there! I wish my own living room were that cute. Key items: this Boucherouite rug, our fave tan leather poufs, a giant fiddle leaf tree, a vintage lamp and, believe it or not, a vintage Ikea couch.
The cute little plant on the table is called a peperomia sandersii. Love the stripes in the leaves.
This little vintage breakfast table is styled with this colourful graphic Boucherouite rug. They make such a cute pair. I know I wouldn’t mind having breakfast every morning at that table.
As I always say when a client hesitates between one Moroccan rug or another, you don’t pick a Moroccan rug based on its size or its convenience. Buying a Moroccan rug is more like buying a piece of art. When your heart flips you know you’re making the right decision. It’s a statement piece you can keep all your life -Stephy
Our new Moroccan rug collection is finally here! Have you seen all the treasures I found during my last trip to Marrakech. Barely can’t sell them, guys, but how many rugs does a girl need? Plus, it makes me so happy to know they’ll be in awesome decors around the globe. I just love to see them in your homes. Please don’t stop sending me pictures of our Moroccan rugs in your own home decor. So much eye candy.
This time we thought it would be cool to show you how awesome they can look in a modern home decor and so we partnered with our friend, Vanessa Sicotte, the blogger, decor guru and owner of such a well decorated artful house here in Montreal. Our stylist Camille & I had a blast integrating the rugs into Vanessa‘s already stunning home decor. Plus, she has such a collection of well-picked vintage chairs and objects of all kinds, we were in styling heaven for our pictures.
First, we started in her bedroom where we went a little wild with rug layering.
She already had a graphic black & white rug in her bedroom and we thought it would be so cool to just layer this stunning Boucherouite rug on top of it. I just think it looks gorgeous. My artsy boho heart jumped a bit. Love this piece of art (she made it herself by the way) In this decor, our black Moroccan leather pouf and handira wedding blanket.
Then we worked in her living room and decided this Moroccan rug found its spot! How cool does it look in her modern living room? There are so many cool details. Notice her gold mirror, bookshelf and light fixture? Aren’t the gold accents beautiful? Our Handira pillow looks pretty sharp on that vintage chair and how can’t you love these cute dogs waiting in front of the fireplace? The kind of quirky details we love.
Can I please hang in this cute little reading nook all day? By the way, this modern Moroccan rug is still available, who’s feeling lucky? It’s such a cool, modern piece with its neon lines and graphic details. Grab it here! That cool fushia chair is one of Vanessa’s vintage finds. She’s got the eye, that’s all I can say. Spot our graphic black & white throw, black leather pouf and this colorful illustration.
Vanessa’s house is filled with unexpected little rooms. This small room has so many windows, it looks like a sunroom but it’s on the second floor of her home. This is where she decided to make her office. Such a great idea! So even if it’s -30 outside, the sun is pouring in! Camille and I just thought this small boucherouite rug that looks like a luscious garden deserved that spot. (That gold bag is such a cool addition to an office and Iris, we love you so much, we just had to frame you.)
Then we stepped into her girl’s room only to find this oh-so-cute tipi and gold horse head waiting for us. We thought our pink and cream Beni Ourain rug would be the perfect addition to a girl’s room. That wall paper designed by the talented Joy Cho is a definite staple. A vintage bubble gum dispenser? Girl, where did you find that? These accessories can be found in our shop: Pompom baskets, “la vie est belle” basket, pompom pillows and fiddle leaf illustration.
Here’s a close-up of our pompom pillows, aren’t they cute?
Last but not least, we sneaked into Vanessa’s boy room. We opted for a boucherouite rug that has stripes and argyles and colors that fit perfectly in the existing decor. Don’t you just love the vintage globes in there? Our tiger friend also made it on the wall.
Here’s the room from another angle. That red bookshelf is such a great find. And the wallpaper choice is just right on. By the way, that dino toy bin is a must. My sun adores his.
Well that’s it for now, but we’ll get back to her house because we’re not done with all the pretty corners. For now, go check our new Moroccan rug collection before they all fly away! –Stephanie
*A very special thanks to Vanessa who welcomed us into her home and let us play around with her decor. You’re the best.
Hey guys, we have such a beautiful and easy to make little decor idea for Valentines day we want to share! Camille and I came up with this DIY flower heart wreath project you can make yourself. No florist skills required!
You can make these heart shaped flower wreaths in about 30 minutes! They make such a cute gift or a fun decor addition for Valentine’s Day.
What you’ll need:
– Metallic wire (not too thin because you want it to keep its shape.)
– Flowers: We’ve used a bunch of eucalyptus, buttercups, wax flowers, hypericum and rosemary. But you could use whatever flowers you prefer.
– Thin green wire to attach the flowers (You could always use clear tape, we tried it and it worked well.)
Firstly, use your metallic wire to make your heart shape. Twist the wire at the lower end to close your heart. Next, dress up your metallic wire using the eucalyptus leaves. Tie the branches on the metallic wire with the help of your green florist wire or use clear tape to secure them.
Pick the flowers you want to use to decorate your heart and attach some here and there to make it look pretty. We kept it very simple but it would look super stunning with lots of flowers too.
Tadam! Pretty, right? Honestly we were very impressed by the results because it was so easy to put together.
It was fun to see how only changing the type of eucalyptus leaves really changed the look. I will definitely try this project with different fowers this summer. It would make a stunning wedding decor. Who’s got wedding plans?
We had fun trying them out in the Baba loft decor. Wowza! Ok I admit that heart shaped chair and that stunning rug steal the show but still!
What a great heart shaped red chair! Thanks for lending it Prunelle, but can we keep it, please? 😉
We want to see your heart shaped wreaths! Tag us via Instagram so we can see your creations! With love -Stephanie.
