Our New Moroccan Rug Collection – Styled

Our new Moroccan rug collection is finally here! Have you seen all the treasures I found during my last trip to Marrakech. Barely can’t sell them, guys, but how many rugs does a girl need? Plus, it makes me so happy to know they’ll be in awesome decors around the globe. I just love to see them in your homes. Please don’t stop sending me pictures of our Moroccan rugs in your own home decor. So much eye candy.

This time we thought it would be cool to show you how awesome they can look in a modern home decor and so we partnered with our friend, Vanessa Sicotte, the blogger, decor guru and owner of such a well decorated artful house here in Montreal. Our stylist Camille & I had a blast integrating the rugs into Vanessa‘s already stunning home decor. Plus, she has such a collection of well-picked vintage chairs and objects of all kinds, we were in styling heaven for our pictures.

First, we started in her bedroom where we went a little wild with rug layering.

She already had a graphic black & white rug in her bedroom and we thought it would be so cool to just layer this stunning Boucherouite rug on top of it. I just think it looks gorgeous. My artsy boho heart jumped a bit. Love this piece of art (she made it herself by the way) In this decor, our black Moroccan leather pouf and handira wedding blanket.

Then we worked in her living room and decided this Moroccan rug found its spot! How cool does it look in her modern living room? There are so many cool details. Notice her gold mirror, bookshelf and light fixture? Aren’t the gold accents beautiful? Our Handira pillow looks pretty sharp on that vintage chair and how can’t you love these cute dogs waiting in front of the fireplace? The kind of quirky details we love.

Can I please hang in this cute little reading nook all day? By the way, this modern Moroccan rug is still available, who’s feeling lucky? It’s such a cool, modern piece with its neon lines and graphic details. Grab it here! That cool fushia chair is one of Vanessa’s vintage finds. She’s got the eye, that’s all I can say. Spot our graphic black & white throw, black leather pouf and this colorful illustration.

Vanessa’s house is filled with unexpected little rooms. This small room has so many windows, it looks like a sunroom but it’s on the second floor of her home. This is where she decided to make her office. Such a great idea! So even if it’s -30 outside, the sun is pouring in! Camille and I just thought this small boucherouite rug that looks like a luscious garden deserved that spot. (That gold bag is such a cool addition to an office and Iris, we love you so much, we just had to frame you.)

Then we stepped into her girl’s room only to find this oh-so-cute tipi and gold horse head waiting for us. We thought our pink and cream Beni Ourain rug would be the perfect addition to a girl’s room. That wall paper designed by the talented Joy Cho is a definite staple. A vintage bubble gum dispenser? Girl, where did you find that? These accessories can be found in our shop: Pompom baskets, “la vie est belle” basket, pompom pillows and fiddle leaf illustration.

Here’s a close-up of our pompom pillows, aren’t they cute?

Last but not least, we sneaked into Vanessa’s boy room. We opted for a boucherouite rug that has stripes and argyles and colors that fit perfectly in the existing decor. Don’t you just love the vintage globes in there? Our tiger friend also made it on the wall.

Here’s the room from another angle. That red bookshelf is such a great find. And the wallpaper choice is just right on. By the way, that dino toy bin is a must. My sun adores his.

Well that’s it for now, but we’ll get back to her house because we’re not done with all the pretty corners. For now, go check our new Moroccan rug collection before they all fly away! –Stephanie

*A very special thanks to Vanessa who welcomed us into her home and let us play around with her decor. You’re the best.
